The Grand National Experience & Visitor Centre

600 million viewers worldwide tune in to watch the most famous steeplechase in the world, The Grand National. The results are unpredictable; anything can happen and almost always does, with over £100 million being placed in bets in the UK alone on Grand National day itself. The stories of Aintree winners, Red Rum, Ginger McCain, Jenny Pitman, are immortalised in history. The Grand National Experience will unfold the tale of how the idea of the National was conceived by a Liverpool hotelier, William Lynn and Captain Becher and how it was run for many years by a gaiety girl, Mrs Topham.

Now visitors can gain an insight into the home of the World's greatest steeplechase - The Grand National - with a tour around the Aintree visitor centre.
