East Sefton has a rich and fascinating heritage with several historic townships, a wide variety of natural and man-made landscapes, interesting flora and fauna and is home to the world's most famous steeplechase, as well as being the former home and final resting place of the inventor, Frank Hornby, whose Hornby Trains, Dinky Toys and Meccano sets are a household name worldwide.
