The "Wild Altside' initiative came about as a result of proposals put forward at the regular meetings of the Altside Business Village Partnership, when it was decided to place caring for our local environment, wildlife and sustainability, at the very top of the Business Village agenda.

"It's up to us to ensure that future generations have the opportunity to enjoy and appreciate the sites and sounds of our local flora and fauna."

This free for you to download, 48 page 'Wild Altside' guide is the result of this initiative and thanks to the invaluable support of our sponsors, it has been published at no cost to the 20,000 plus householders living in Aintree, Lunt, Lydiate, Maghul, Melling and Sefton.

It explains how easy and sensible it is to adjust our lifestyle and attitudes, and highlights the potential enormous benefits that these changes could bring to our local wildlife, our local environment and of course, to ourselves.

Conservation is not only about the Amazon rainforest or the Himalayas, but in fact, biodiversity begins right here on our own doorsteps.
